Welcome

The American Foundation of Thyroid Patients was founded as a local patient support group in Houston, Texas in the early 1990's.  It has since grown to a world-wide presence, in part due to the Internet, but most profoundly because the number of thyroid patients seeking guidance continues to increase.

We are a non-profit support organization, offering education and referrals to patients who are newly diagnosed as well as those who continue to live with this chronic condition.
